Linux (Terminal ) /etc/init.d/nscd restart or service nscd restart if the nscd restart does not clear up the cache. try clearing /var/db/nscd/hosts by running  nscd –invalidate=hosts if you do not have the nscd package . it will need to be installed using the source, rpm, yum or apt.
