I have been using Ubuntu for some time and thought to give Fedora a try. Man was I spoiled with Ubunut, Fedora comes with nothing installed. The application store was very slow and not responsive at times.

I ended up manually installing Libreoffice from the command line and here are the steps.

1. download the rpm from
http://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/3.6.1/rpm/x86_64/LibO_3.6.1_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz
At the time of this writing the latest version was 3.6.1, you can also download it from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
2. You will need to untar the file using tar -zxvf LibO_3.6.1_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz
3. cd into the untar file and go into the rpm folder . you can now install the rpms using yum as such
yum localinstall *.rpm or rpm -Uvh RPMS/*.rpm
4. libroffice should not be installed at /opt/libreoffice/program , this issue i had here was creating the shortcuts to my desktop. for now i am loading libreoffice via the command line
./opt/libreoffice3.6/program/scalc
./opt/libreoffice3.6/program/soffice is the main screen for Libreoffice
